Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
I feel like I’m working on this lately. ”Come” Jesus says. I just love this verse. When we’re frazzled and at our wits end with exhaustion Jesus says “come.”
He knows just what we need. He will give us rest. After that rest, renewal, purpose and the wisdom and strength to move on.
We sometimes just need those moments of rest. How many times do I fill my Sundays with things to do around the house? I enjoy getting things checked off of my to do list, but that doesn’t help me connect with God more.
Eventually I will (and have) burned out.
Exhausted.
What good is that?
Here’s my encouragement for you – rest. Go to Jesus and take some time to rest in Him.
He knows just what we need. He will give us rest. After that rest, renewal, purpose and the wisdom and strength to move on.

Thank you for this encouragement. I think we all often have times in our lives when we need to rest more than other times. Taking the time to reflect and make sure I’m making “rest” a priority in my life.
