A Few More Weeks…

IMG_4834

A few more weeks and life will be a little more normal around here.  I do have a lovely friend working on a marriage series this year and I signed up to be a part of it. I woke up this morning praying over it and my writing with it.  I will be sharing it a little later than planned so I’m sure to get the newest information for all of you.  You’ll see when I share it.  In the {Read More}

A Big Surprise for our Family…

Just in case a gluten-free diet, an awesome new job, 3 master’s classes, 2 wonderful kids and an amazing husband wasn’t enough…  Show me the way I should go, for to You I entrust my life.  Psalm 143:8

New Year, Big Changes

I have been silent due to a lot of things going on in my heart and life.  I apologize for not letting you know in a short note, but not for the time I took. I try to be transparent on here because I believe that’s what I am to be.  My husband has been supportive and encouraging in my writing ventures.  I often asked him if subjects were ok to share with all of you and he always responded {Read More}

Snapshots of Christmas

IMG_3925

This month has brought healing, anxiety, peace and surprises.  With all of the emotions and feelings flying around I clung to the birth of Jesus.  The birth of our Savior, My Savior.  The One who I would not make it through the day without.  Reminders of His sacrifice for me greets me around every turn in my house.  I wait until New Years Eve to take down the decorations. Here are a few images of the past week…. & the {Read More}

Behind The Scenes of My Sweet, Tender Moment….

Precious Moment

This sweet, tender moment I caught today with my phone.  One minute later I caught these as well…. Isn’t that how life goes sometimes!  It’s what we do with those moments that makes an impact.  Do I flip out, yell and “go all mom” on the discipline? Do I take a moment to explain to them how to resolve conflict, how they are brother and sister for life and will love each other one minute and fight the next.  Will {Read More}

Christmas Inspiration/Challenge

Mid Century Modern Christmas

Christmas is just around the corner.  The carols and hymns play while I sip my coffee.  I am sitting at a local coffee shop watching the snow flakes dance in the air before hitting the ground.  Around this time, I pull out the gifts that I’ve already purchased throughout the year and make a list of what I still need to buy. This year we’re doing things differently.  My husband and I decided that we’re not spending any money.  Say {Read More}

A Little R&R in Northern Michigan

photo-109

Rest & relaxation We hit the road to northern Michigan last week for some much needed R&R.  Suitcases packed to the ceiling we hit the highway for a ski resort in off season. Here’s a bit of what we kept busy with.  My husband and I got a ride to the top of the ski hill and played a round of disc golf.  (He played, I walked….it would’ve taken h.o.u.r.s. otherwise.) We stopped at a scenic overlook on a foggy {Read More}
