Oh, well, let’s see…..How ’bout our first 2 guests, Cara from Cara Quilts and Megan from the Brassy Apple! Each guest during the month will be sharing a piece about social media (Twitter, Pinterest, etc.) So be {Read More}

Wedded Bliss - Link up

~ source ~ Did you get to watch the wedding this morning? I have a confession. I didn’t get to, but I wanted to. You know I only have Netflix and internet at home so I haven’t been inundated with the press of it all. It’s still new, fresh and exciting to me. You know, it probably would be even if I had been hearing about it for awhile now Kate just looked stunning! & what girl doesn’t have a {Read More}

Growth ~ Generosity

Poppopportraits on Etsy - “Autumn Friends” “….and let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” Hebrews 10:24 This is part of a few verses I’m working on memorizing. I just love the idea of “considering” - actually thinking about it. Contemplating. Pondering. I was chatting with a friend last week and we were laughing about mistakes.

Hemming Jeans….There are a bunch of ways “out there” to hem jeans. I thought that I would throw in my version as well. You do not need a serger, you can use an overcast stitch on your sewing machine. Measure your jeans to see how much you want to take off.

Shop Glossary & How-to!

The teacher in me comes out when I think about what to me may be basic while to others it’s a foreign language. What are the words that I use in my blog and shop that may only seem basic to me because I am in “this little world”…. Serged/Overlocked Seams - When I say that my seams are serged/overlocked it means that I use a machine that cuts the edges off of the fabric and 4 threads criss cross to {Read More}

Snapshot ~ Grandpa’s Bible
