Honoring My Husband

Warning: This may be sappy….

Here’s the man behind me, pushing me forward and encouraging me to be a better
follower of Jesus, wife, mother, friend.
This little boy grew up to lead irrigation crews, teach the toddler room every Sunday, start a business with his brothers, love his family and most importantly seek God for wisdom.
I hope and pray that our children trust in God as much as he does.
I’m so proud of him. He’s an amazing husband and Dad.
He dresses goofy to make my daughter happy (although she looks far from it there!) And always seems to get away without shaving for a few days without anyone noticing.
One of the things that attracted me to him was his love for God and others, servant heart and adventurous spirit. When given the option to sit at home or play outside,
he’s the first to head out the door.
Some of my favorite moments are when he’s with our kids. They get to see strength and gentleness. He prays that he will be a dad that displays the characteristics
that God desires for a father. Every night he prays with our kids. Truly precious.
He’s so committed to our marriage that he’s even willing to go square-dancing with me and attend marriage classes to see how we can grow individually and as a couple.
Thank you Paul for changing the kids’ diapers at 11 every night and getting up early to make me decaf before you brew your coffee. It’s the little things that display so much to me of how much you love us.
Love you babe!

I love this post! I’m always happy to see someone honoring their spouse and treasuring their marriage. Too many marriages out there that aren’t making it or don’t like each other even if they’re staying together. Don’t mean to be gloomy-just glad to see you give your man and marriage a shout out! :)

    • Thank you deborah! It is something that we definitely have to work on all of the time….building up rather than tearing down. Not always the easiest when there are stresses in life ;)
