Mid Century Reupholstery Progress!

Mid Century Modern Couch Reupholstery Update! I know it’s been a bit of time since I’ve shared our progress. Honestly we haven’t worked on it as much as we thought we would be able to. The challenge is great, but we’re banking on the rewards when we’re done! Don’t remember the original? Check it out here when we first started this project. It’s a couch from my Husband’s Grandma’s home years ago. We’ve had it in our basement for years {Read More}

Living Room in Process!

My husband finished a room in the basement so most of our living room furniture went down there with the tv and cozy couch and chair & **Woo-hoo** all of the toys! 6 weeks ago if you just dropped by without calling you would have seen clean laundry in stacks on the couch and toys all over (and possibly me in my pajamas). We googled it and it’s a 1940s Operators Chair by General Electric. It’s now my daughter’s chair at the kitchen {Read More}

Kitchen Chairs Come to Life!

My Mom just had a kitchen renovation. With that came the need for chairs for her breakfast nook. Now everyone knows that my husband and I adore furniture and we have a ton of it. The first place anyone goes when looking for furniture is us. Why? Well, because my husband used to own a furniture restoration business. We have tables, chairs, a dresser, a piano, all over the county and into the next. So, back to my story, my {Read More}

Chair Find ~ Pickers Dream!

Oh, I’m so excited! Do you see this chair? Yep, super ugly! Rescued from a basement of a store in my area that takes up a small city block. You can wander down there amidst tools, parts, and other treasures to be found. It’s a regular old “Pickers” dream. Do you see that broken caning? The ugly top waiting to be re-upholstered? Yep, that’s a wood seat too. Oh, and did I mention the metal? All to be re-done.Yes, hang {Read More}
