Link up with Illuminate! Week 6~

So, the idea behind this weekly linkup is to highlight moments in our lives, to improve, instruct, polish or shed light on different subjects.  Join the sharing, whether you're educating us with a tutorial or sharing with us a story, ILLUMINATE us!  I hope it's a place that you come to after a long week to find a great idea or a kind word to brighten your day!  

If you're learning about this for the first time here's the 411 ~

Each week I'll have a theme.  It may or may not be craft related.  

• The theme will be announced the week before and you'll have a week to find your post.  
• Come back on that Friday to link up!  
• You must link to a specific blog post, not a business or your blog in general.  
• It can be a post about anything to do with the theme.  (Recipes, stories, crafts, photos, ideas) 
• Check out others' posts on the linkup and leave a kind word.
• Grab the button (above) to share with others where you're linking up! You can also put this in the sidebar of your blog saying that you come every week to look/linkup.  
• Tweet about it if you'd like!  Or share it on Facebook.  Let's get others joining in! 

Eliana's 1st Birthday!

Birthdays are coming and going so quickly now!  I'm wanting to go dye my hair but my husband just claims they're not really WHITE but just the sun glistening.  I love him =)

With my son's 1st Birthday coming up (and my daughter's 3rd) already, I've been finding some inspiration on Pinterest for birthday parties but I was hoping that you would share some of your thoughts/ideas/inspiration on Birthdays this week with the Illuminate Linkup!  Post about your parties or find some things you'd want to include in a future party and come linkup here this week!  I'm hoping you all can use this as a resource and share your fun ideas with me and others.  Then when it's time to party, you can come back here and be inspired!

I want to do something like this for their parties!  We have a small house, but thankfully the kids were born in late summer, so with no rain this would be perfect!  I'm trying to decide between going red, white & blue (I know the perfect table runners and bunting) OR Dr. Seuss for my son's party.  I think with this I can still use these mason jars....

Erika & I chatted about where to find these lids, because it wasn't originally pinned with the source and I found them for sale for only 47 cents each here!  (They were 39 cents but I have a feeling Pinterest & Brides Magazine helped out their business a bit - they're still cheap and a fair price!)
