I admitted the other week that I like to keep things “just in case”…. not anymore! A small home calls for less things and more space to fill with people and memories rather than stuff.
Here’s another post to the “Healing the Hoarder in Me” series.
Promising to be open about what I’m doing I wanted to share with you my closet. Or, honestly the clean clothes in the play room that don’t make it to the dressers too quickly. If I don’t do my daily 2 loads of laundry it can quickly look like this….
but on a daily basis more like this….
Piles of folded clean laundry that end up getting tipped over before they make it upstairs.
I went through my closet about 9 months ago and limited the number of items. I had even made a shopping list from my Pinterest boards (which I cancelled for a bit to focus more on my family). I wrote a post with a few tips, so why am I still frustrated with my clothing choices then? I made a list of what I liked and looked second hand, but didn’t really follow the rules to keep it simple and wear what looks good on me and makes me feel comfortable.
In comes Haley from The Tiny Twig and her e-book. I’m reading through her book and am so excited to get my wardrobe organized for good. There are a few steps she adds to help you make decisions and organize your closet.

I’ll be posting some updates on my mess of a closet, as well as my kids’ dressers.
How many shorts does a 20 month old need? |
P.S.
Be prepared for a little “blog-sale” coming soon where I’ll get rid of some of the items I have multiples of (chaco flip-flops), Lole jackets, etc. I’ll give you warning here, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter before I post the sale this week. (You can follow me on the upper right.)
your blog sale is gonna be torture….I can already tell!
I got rid of a bunch of stuff last year - that was the crazy one. I sold it at my hubby’s shop. Every year we do a “gearage sale” and sell our new stuff we never used or our lightly worn items. It’s fun. I thought it would be great to let all of my friends in on it this year so I’m not selling in the shop
