Beach, Sunset, Sand & More Sand….

A few evenings ago we headed to the beach…. & 20 minutes later we were cleaning sand from everything. (Hey, have you heard the baby powder trick? Forgot mine, but if you put baby powder on your skin where sand is, the sand wipes right off!) I’m linking up with Beth at Dot in the City for her Stay-cation Fun!

Buttons & Rollerblades - need a laugh!?

~via~ Last night I went to a little party at a friend’s house. I wore pants I haven’t fit into in 5 years (yay!) ~ Well, let’s be honest, the button did pop off half way through the party - Did I just admit that on the world wide web? Oh, yes I did! When I got home after 3 hours away from the kiddos and leaving them in the creative, yet capable hands of their father I heard what {Read More}

Change of Direction….

~source~ Papermoth on Etsy There’s been a few things on my heart lately & it has stalled this post. I am going to make it short and sweet and probably add a few things later. I just didn’t want to keep you waiting. The other day I posted about some changes. With my priority of my family coming before my etsy shop & blog, I’ve had to take some time and make some decisions. The direction of Geeky & Sassy {Read More}

Choose….Don’t just start….

I choose everyday what I’m going to do with my time. I make choices that not only affect me, but those around me. Well,Today, I choose - God. Today, I choose to run around with my kids & love them.Today, I choose to let my dishes go a bit and bike with the kids.Today, I choose to sit back and praise God for an amazing husband, family, friends, home. Sassy Kitchen Set

I love towels and pillows….if you’ve been around G&S for awhile, that’s well known This set I made one chilly day a few months ago. Oops! Forgot to share it with all of you!When I hand wash pots and pans I like to have a separate towel to let them dry. I took a highly absorbent towel & serged fabric around the edge. The tea towel hangs on my stove for hands. My favorite is the sassy big girl bib {Read More}

Illuminate: Favorite of another….

Ok, I’m not going to lie. It’s a beautiful, sunny day and I’m not going to be inside for long. (Not to mention my husband has the day off.) Needless to say I’m not going to add a lot of frills and pictures. We’ll just stick to the main stuff…. So, today’s Illuminate Linkup is about others. I thought that it would be neat to link up someone else’s blog that you find encouragement from. Someone that you would {Read More}

Baby Booties

Here’s a little something I made for my son - yes, my son. Hey, they’re blue, orange and brown. I think boys can have bold colors too! This is from Anna Marie Horner’s Handmade Beginnings book. They were quite simple to make & a quick little project. I usually do a little review, but honestly the most difficult part of them was to sew the buttons on by hand ~source~ What have you been up to? Don’t forget, we’re {Read More}

Summer Wedding ~

This weekend one of my former Young Life girls got married. It was really neat to be invited to her wedding nearly 9 years after I met her in Young Life. Through the years we grab coffee or lunch and catch up a few times a year. I forgot my camera, so everything is from my phone. I wish I had one of her veil. Vintage & beautiful! It was at a friend’s house on a grassy cliff overlooking Lake {Read More}
