World Wide What???

Frustrated - print from original from CozyLittleCave on Etsy Sitting in McDonald’s parking lot eating fries, drinking Diet Coke and posting is not my ideal situation. (Well, maybe the Diet Coke) At least I went to the gym this morning!An unnamed internet company is not on my “good side” this week. Tomorrow afternoon there will hopefully be the world wide web available at my home again. It’s crazy how separated I feel without the internet! I’ll post as soon as {Read More}

Sneak Peek

Well, ho, hum….I’m still waiting….waiting for my tags to come. I ordered them a few weeks ago and I’m anxiously awaiting their arrival here to Michigan. I have stacks of products waiting for the final seams in order to stock my shop. In the meantime, take a few sneak peeks!

My Girl’s Spring Coat ~

Spring is here and I got a bit distracted from sewing things for my new shop. I love this pattern by Kitschy-Coo. It is very easy to understand and looks awesome! There’s a fall version that I made for her the other year and she gets compliments every time. I think it’s the assymmetrical and the fact that it’s fully reversible. I’ll have to grab a few pics of that one as well. The coral looks red in the photo, {Read More}

Trendy Tuesday - Gray and Yellow

The trend of yellow and gray is huge right now. & it’s one I’m diving into! Take a look at the pictures. Whether or not you’re a yellow wall person, you can still always find a way to add a bit of “sass” to your space and follow the trends. An easy way to switch things up is your pillow, rug, artwork or vase. Take a look ~ ~source~ The colors are all over in this room, but what 1 or {Read More}

Pattern Review: Baby-in-the-hood & baby pants

The Baby-in-the-hood Jacket from Anna Marie Horner’s book handmade Beginnings is so fun! I love the look of it! The only sad part is that my little one was born in August and grew like a weed. He only got to wear it once! Ask me if I had my camera out that day - nope! So sad.Anyway, here’s a long-past-due look at my thoughts and ramblings over this pattern. Things I liked:Overall Look - I mean how much cuter can {Read More}

Saturday Series: Bias Tape Foot

Here’s my “techie” series for all of you Viking Sewers out there. I know there are similar versions out there for everyone else. So, join us anyway. Chances are there are little to no difference between them! This is one amazing foot! The Viking Adjustable Bias Tape foot. When I first started looking I saw a few different options, but this one that was adjustable was “the one.” It just snaps right on. No messing with screws to change {Read More}

Saturday Series Zipper Foot and

This one’s a little more normal/universal. I love to use this foot. I don’t have the one that looks like a “ski” if you know what I mean. This one just guides the foot right over the teeth and right up against them. Like so…. I’m wondering what experience you have with the different zipper feet. What do you prefer? I know some don’t even bother. Some people out there just use their regular foot and just zoom right next to {Read More}

Flashback - 18 months ago….

Well, staying a little more recent again, I have one from September 2009. It’s a bit more of the serious side of me…. Two amazing friends that drove from Tennessee to Michigan! In the photo I am in the hospital recovering from brain surgery. Yep, I had a meningioma brain tumor removed after only 9 days of even knowing that I had something wrong. Crazy, huh!? I kept having headaches after the birth of my daughter. (who turned 1 just 2 {Read More}
