What’s with your name?

Ok, so a lot of you may wonder about my name - Geeky & Sassy. Where did it come from? Simple. My daughter.
She called her blanket - “geeky” and her pacifier - “sassy”. When trying to come up with a blog name nothing stood out to me & every .com was taken. I kept looking and thinking and during that time Eliana kept asking for her geeky & sassy.
Then the moment hit! That was the name.
Not a long story, but it’s a sweet memory of my little girl growing so big every day. The moments I want to treasure.

On a side note - I was named after a song. Yes, cheesy, I know. You know the John Denver song that goes:
“West Virginia, Mountain Mama, take me home….country roads”?
I was destined to be a “mountain mama” living in Michigan.
& my middle name is after my Grandmother.

How were you named? Are you named after someone special? If you blog, what’s the story behind your blog name?

i wondered where the name came from, i figured it was how you described yourself. ours was 1088 Churchill since it started mostly about home renovation. but I’ve expanded it to more “life” stuff and changed it to “life on churchill” thanks for sharing!

I was named after the tour guide on The Love Boat! My Dad thought she was spunky and cute and I guess my Mom went with it, too. Not quite the same as a “mountain mama”, but still fun :)

For my name I think my Mom just liked the name Nadine, which means hope. I think that’s my favourite part of my name, that and that it’s a unique name. My middle name though, Karina, is similar to her name which is Karin.

My blog name is really about the fight between my heart of flesh and my heart of spirit. Jesus has to rule over my heart so He is my secondary heartbeat!
