Rest & relaxation
We hit the road to northern Michigan last week for some much needed R&R. Suitcases packed to the ceiling we hit the highway for a ski resort in off season.
Here’s a bit of what we kept busy with. My husband and I got a ride to the top of the ski hill and played a round of disc golf. (He played, I walked….it would’ve taken h.o.u.r.s. otherwise.)
We stopped at a scenic overlook on a foggy afternoon.
The resort had crafts for kids and adults and we kept busy! We even toured Kilwin’s Chocolates’ national headquarters and watched them make candy.
I wore my FashionABLE scarf a ton….nearly every day. Makeup or not, I sported it. Have you heard of them yet? Seriously awesome. Check them out. My friend Bri talks more about them here.
And who can forget the park. If there is a slide, we can be found there.
I had originally thought that I would have time to write last week. Instead I rested. A much needed rest with my family. Now I am back and ready to go.
What have you been up to?
Looks like tons of fun! I know we will be vacationing up there again.
I had NO IDEA about the frisbee golf course! And I am a total scarf girl. I’ll definitely be checking out FashionABLE scarfs!
Yes, they will drive you to the top for free if you’re staying there or for a fee if you’re not (of course add a little tip
It’s totally worth it!
Sometimes you do need to rest. It feeds your soul in order to write.
Yes! =) I have to read your Thanksgiving post - I saw it go by on twitter but had to get off. Curious to see the cost
