Today I want to share a few words and pictures with you. Saturday evening the kids and I met up with some friends and went to a local church for a “trunk or treat” party. It was bitter cold and the princess and the pumpkin were home within the hour (after the obligatory public bathroom toddler potty break taking up half of the time.) *wink, wink* If you have been affected by the storm this week, you have been in {Read More}
Friday Coffee Date ~ Meet Virginia

I’m joining Alissa for coffee this morning and you are invited! & I am sad. I have been at my computer for far too long this evening and the videos are not uploading correctly. I recorded the night before so I can have family time. Since it’s not working, I’ll have to figure it out for next week. For now you can see some of the faces you may have missed in the video…. I have to admit I {Read More}
Beautiful Day to Rake!

Today we’re enjoying the last warm day of our warm front up north. The fall breeze and barefoot toes are a fun addition to our annual chore of leaf clean up. Let us take the everyday chores and make them fun. Run, play, dance, enjoy! Here’s a peak into our day. I hope you’re enjoying your day as well! If you have not entered the book giveaway, you still have time!
Harvest Books Giveaway

As a mother, former teacher & former kids coordinator at my church I have a love of kids books, and when I heard about the partnership with Tommy Nelson Publishers I was excited. Each month I will review 1 or more items and share how my family liked them. At the end of the post you will be given the opportunity to win your own copy. If you have a local bookstore near you, I ask that you support them, {Read More}
Don’t Let Others Hush Your Song
My daughter was pulling her second dress over top of her two shirts and two skirts to get the maximum volume. At four she has blasted into the fashion world of color clashing and layering. Tip toes and twirls mix in as she puts the finishing touches on her outfit. Singing the entire time. This is a daily routine in our home. On this particular day I was tired. I wanted rest and didn’t get it. In the midst {Read More}
In Honor Of Those Who Have Lost & Those Who Love On Them

In honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Month, I wanted to share a few people and things that have encouraged me & I hope encourage you as well. You, the Geeky & Sassy Community have encouraged me. Your prayers, comments, private emails & shares on Facebook and Twitter helped me feel supported and loved. Thank you. Jessi from Naptime Diaries wrote a beautiful post today - and if you’re wondering, it was that song that put me in {Read More}
Catching Up On Fall

We went to a Birthday Party at Chuck E. Cheese last night and the kids had a ball! It was fun to watch them run around and choose what they wanted to do. This morning I am attempting to put into practice a few things I learned at the conference and am now going to “shut down” the computer to focus on my kids. Speaking of ~ if you haven’t signed up to get posts in your email, check it {Read More}
My Ugly Cry Moment

I am writing about what I’ve gleaned from this past weekend at the Influence Conference. I understand most of you were not able to attend. Please know that what I’m writing also applies to everyday life, & there will be more. Excited to sing to the God who walks with me in my daily mess I walked to the front of the room the last evening of the conference and sat down. The music filled the air and the first few {Read More}
How My Writing Was Influenced….

I will be posting things I’ve gleaned this past weekend. I understand most of you were not able to attend the Influence Conference I went to this weekend. Please know that what I’m writing also applies to everyday life. & there will be more things I will be sharing. Too much for 1 post. I cannot begin to put into words what God did in my heart and life this weekend. As open as I am sharing my life with {Read More}
Never Content

Wishing away the 70 degree weather in hopes of the 40s and 50s to come I am reminded how short lived my desires can be. My contentment in the weather may be a picture of my contentment with life at times. When I start focusing inward rather than outward (to others and the bigger picture) and upward (to God most importantly) I wish away the moments. The dirty diapers and toddler squabbles make me wish for my kids to grow {Read More}
