Behind The Scenes of My Sweet, Tender Moment….

This sweet, tender moment I caught today with my phone.

One minute later I caught these as well….

Isn’t that how life goes sometimes!  It’s what we do with those moments that makes an impact.  Do I flip out, yell and “go all mom” on the discipline? Do I take a moment to explain to them how to resolve conflict, how they are brother and sister for life and will love each other one minute and fight the next.  Will I take the time of a sigh to describe how kindness should be first, and to put others first?

Oh I wish I did the the latter of these.  I didn’t do much of anything.  Thankfully I didn’t yell, (yes, this former Children’s Director has raised her voice), but I did snap.  “Be careful!”

More worried about the guitar than the kids’ life lesson.  & getting the funny pictures.

(puts head in hands and hangs head in embarassment).

But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” ~ James 4:6

What have you been up to this week?  Any funny moments you can share?

Stick around, I’m going to be sharing my “dirty hair” tricks this week!  I’m documenting day 4 unwashed right now (and no, it’s not gross!)

  1. Oh, I want those hair tips. AND I think your children are beautiful. AND I know you are a wonderful mother!

  2. Roberta S. says:

Those pics are wonderful, hilarious and so cute! One thing I need to work on when my boys get into tiffs is patience! I tend to yell a little too much and then later feel horrible about it 🙁 I HAVE to work on it.

But this week has been good so far. Moved Tristan to a toddler bed and it was way too simple (if only potty training was that easy!).

  3. Roberta S. says:

Can’t wait for the hair tip!

  4. Those pictures are priceless! And I’m with you on the discipline thing – I too often do it the wrong way!
Your posts started showing up in my email again – 🙂
